Post the Forty-Sixth: Much Writing, None Of It Here

Post the Fiftieth will officially be the first video post, Gentle Reader, so you have that to look forward to. I need to start building the set for it, and make sure that you get the right wrong impression, if you see what I mean.  UPDATE: Whoops, no it wasn’t.

The bottom has dropped out of the short story that I’ve been working on. I’m not that great at prose, but I’m pretty sure that I’m just not happy with it currently, as I was ecstatic about it the first time through it. I’m going to let it sit, for a while, and come back to it.

As soon as I can figure out how, I am going to release – here, on this blog! – my slim volume of poetry , Patchwork Narrative. This means that it will be hand-bound, by me, and will probably therefore contain traces of my blood. Sorry. While they’ll just be done with the skills and supplies I have at hand, until I can find a better publication option, it’s a start. Remember, you heard it here first! It will probably go onto the blog in conjunction with Post the Fiftieth.

Patchwork Narrative

The new job was going splendidly, and probably still is, in all honesty, but after your first several entries they re-evaluate your work to see if you actually rate where they thought you rated. Or something. The irritating part is that it takes “up to two weeks” and that I hadn’t had any warning. The good news is that all but one of my orders have been accepted, and that remaining article still has a few days until it’s rejected. Once these teething troubles are out-of-the-way, I’m quite prepared to fall in love with this job. I’m finally using my brain instead of my back to earn a living! Essentially, I’m living the dream.

Not that my muscles are entirely atrophied, either. There are plenty of brawny, burly tasks at Teaberry that require a more robust approach. Ever so slowly, we are taming this land and preparing it to yield up a significant crop of dreams. Our chances look damned good, though I say it myself.

Plaid

I know that you probably expected something more than a housekeeping post, today, Gentle Reader, and you may get one later tonight, but for the nonce? I have a lot of irons in the fire.

About Ty DeLyte

Madame DeLyte has suffered a grave disappointment - YET AGAIN - and still believes that freedom, beauty, and truth are what's valuable, rather than vulgar cash. He'd add love to that list - but, well, what can he say about love?
